Hi there,
I am exploring the idea of starting an ESL summer camp / academy in Canada for Korean students. Since this is completely exploratory at this stage, I would love to receive any input, advice or experience you might have to share regarding this type of business activity. Thank you!
Jen

It's a good business idea, but you'll have lots of competition. Will definitely require a Korean connection to channel students to your camp, especially before building up a reputation.

Thanks Steven for your answer. Do you know anything about these "yuhagwon" events where I could represent and network? I think they're for parents to shop around for camps and overseas academies. I've heard of them but am not sure how to research them. Thanks!

I'm not really familiar with the business and don't have specific information. I just know that Koreans are willing to pay lots of money for opportunities like this and that the space is very competitive so you'll need to be prepared. Good luck!

Thank you!
