Everything About the SGBSC-KBC Co-Hosted Event on June 17, 2011 - Seoul Global Business Networking Event, "An Evening for International Entrepreneurship"

The Event is Sold Out!
Thank You To Everyone Who Signed Up. We’ll See You on the 17th!

Everyone is invited but this year's Seoul Global Business Networking Event is particularly focused on entrepreneurship in Seoul, with several ways for international entrepreneurs to promote themselves both online and offline.

Those doing or aspiring to do their own business in Seoul, as well as foreign and Korean media, can come and meet recognized Korean and foreign business leaders and entrepreneurs (including President Lee of ZARA Korea, and Simon Hong of the Seoul Global Business Support Center, which provides all kinds of free support to international entrepreneurs) in a formal business environment for networking, discussion and enjoyment. Not only that, past recipients of entrepreneurial support from the Seoul Global Business Support Center will be on-hand to share their success stories. This is truly a one-of-a-kind business extravaganza!

Following up on the hugely successful SGBSC-KBC evening at Min's Club in Insadong, Seoul last October (Click here for links to everything related to that event), this year's networking event is moving to a dynamic, modern venue and promises to be another "out-of-the-ordinary" business opportunity for entrepreneurs and other members of the international business community in Seoul.

Thanks to the generous financial support from our hosts and sponsors, the networking evening will feature a full Western-style dinner buffet, including all the wine, beer and makgeolli you can drink (!!), included in the ridiculously low price of W25,000/person (where else can you get this kind of value in a business evening in Korea?)... but only for those registering before June 3... and before we change the price and/or close registration. In other words, if you want to attend, you'd better register early because we only have enough sponsorship funds and space in the venue to offer this rate to a maximum of 200 people on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Congratulations Steven for concluding another successful collaboration effort between Korea Business Central and Seoul Global Business Support Center, in bringing us an exciting Seoul Global Business Networking event in 2011. The venue looks perfect and easy to access - the price is right (25,000won all inclusive quite amazing), and the focus on entrepreneurship very timely.  We look forward to the updates to this one-of-a-kind business function!

Thank you!

Hi Steven, its looks great! And the price is awesome! Here in NL you get for that money only a -coffee complet-. That means: only coffee, 1 bottle mineral water p.p. and a cookie, serious!! I am very excited to connect on a global scale and that we can share stories together and most of all we can learn from each other. I got quite a lot requests to do something about providing as much as possible information to get Korea-minded people into the entrylevel of Korean companies. That could be a good topic for our Flash Meeting in Amsterdam. We will see....
Thanks, Eun-Shil. Yeah, you can't get much in Seoul for W25,000 either... except when it's a KBC event... Keep me informed on the Amsterdam event too and I'll do my best to support from this end!

It sounds like this will be another HUGE success!!!

Count me in -I'm so VERY much looking forward to this & I hope to see most of this community there in person:  it truly enriches one's experience of KBC to be able to put a real person behind the comments in various discussion threads ^.~

This is what the Be-Hive looks like from the outside:

That is a great news!

I am sure the event will be a huge business event! I am looking forward to getting all together there.

I'll post it here again since this is probably the right place for it...

Question about the Global Business Networking Event...

I don't know how it works, but can one participate as a speaker, as well, or will there be talks given at all?

I'm asking because I'd like to be a speaker if there's room for me.

And I'll post my reply here again too.... :-)

------------------

No speakers for this event. Just networking, eating and drinking...

As for speaking, check with Simon Hong of the Seoul Global Business Support Center; they host regular business seminars and I know they're always looking for speakers for those.

The map is a nice idea, which could also be prolonged online.

PS: count me in for the 17th

What do you mean about prolonging the map online?

Look forward to seeing you on the 17th... Look for registration instructions later this week.

Each KBC member tagging a map to locate his/her business, that sort of thing. If not at the exact coordinate level, it would be at least interesting to know who's where at the gu and preferably dong level.
