Simon Hoggett has been a Marketing Manager at the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone since 2009 where he helps to develop the overall marketing strategy of the organization. His duties extend to lead generation, market entry strategy, market research, and the ombudsmen program. He can also offer insight into the government tender process (RFP) and methods for developing/maintaining relations with the government.


Prior to working for DG-FEZ, Simon worked at Yeungjin College for 4 years where he was the Coordinator of Foreign Staff and was responsible for managing and hiring the foreign staff. During that time, he also served on Daegu Metropolitan City’s Tourism Committee.


Having living in Korea since 2001, Simon has a deep knowledge of Korean culture, travelling to every province in South Korea He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Windsor, as well as a MBA in International Business.  Simon has been married since 2007, and is currently publishing a book with his beautiful wife.

how r u? are you doing PM work?

Hi! 


I work in more of a marketing role. But sometimes, I do PM work.  Usually it's our Korean contract workers that fill the PM role.
