We really appreciate the members who send private messages about the KBC community. It's both enjoyable to discuss and helpful for us in understanding our distinguished membership and in getting ideas for improving things.
As this is a public and open community, I've set up this discussion topic as the "preferred" channel for member communications related to KBC in general. Private messages can be OK too, but the ones to this discussion are the best, since it lets us bring the sharing out into the community and involve others in the flow of ideas.
By sharing in this discussion and putting more minds together into the feedback, ideas, suggestions and questions, I hope that we can improve even faster and further!

Thanks, Philipp - I always appreciate your direct perspective and active interest.
Perhaps there's still an opportunity to be more clear about the premium content offering, but if you click on the links in the Premium Content tab on the front page graphic, you'll find links to this page which lists and overview of what's current offered - http://www.koreabusinesscentral.com/page/premium-services-content-a.... This somewhat serves the purpose of the comparison chart which you mentioned in your email.
Permalink Reply by Peter Song on May 20, 2012 at 10:28pm its been months since I've visited but browsing through the forum it seems to have died a bit since my last visit. Some new things i've seen is some of the internet marketing features that have been popping up. Been browsing the warriorforum I see? To name a few, i see how you are building an email list so you can push products onto people who opt in to your mailing list .... or selling a guide on how to do business into korea. Anyways charging people to access some parts of the website for example, get a job part I see now charges $7 a month to access that info. Do you see daves esl cafe charging for things? as you see he makes all his money through ad placements..maybe adsense but I'm not 100% sure because its been awhile since I have been to that forum....
As a marketer, the power of word of marketing is huge and restricting important parts of the site to only paying members seriously restricts this. Ofcourse I understand you are trying to make some money but as an internet marketer engagement and activity is extremely important but it seems like this part has been suffocated. I don't know but as an IMer myself, it's so obvious with some of the things you are doing and yes maybe I am part of the problem since I don't visit everyday and actively participate but this forum has seriously died since I have signed up and I can't help that it might be the fact that it's so obvious that you are trying to squeeze $ out of people... anyways goodluck, i think you have a good niche here but the approach imho is wrong.

Peter - I appreciate your concern and feedback. You are right that we are trying new things on the the site. Unfortunately, there is no ROI from participation for participation's sake. And it isn't actually free to provide free content and services.
I would like to clarify that a) the Topic Central pages are not $7/month. They are $7 for six months of access. And, b) as I pointed out to Phillipp above, those paid pages are collections of links to elsewhere; all community content is still as free as ever; none of it has been access restricted.
There's still lots to learn and improve; I appreciate your patience as we trial-and-error our way to a sustainable approach. Thanks for sharing your thoughts; I take every comment into consideration.
why the certificate is valid for two years ?
It is all about learning about basic Business culture of Korean.
Culture will not change, it will remain as it is unless there is Mirecle infuleneced of other culture.
They always to be like before, mind set and thought process will not change for next 100 years as per my studies.
Korean companies are doing lot os export jobs and building power plant etc. around the world, they are taking up Export orders but managment is not yet opend, they have closed door still to understand or adopt positive ideas of management.

Pachal - Thank you for the good question.
We are planning to upgrade the Korea Business Certification Program over the next couple years, though we are not yet clear what that form will take. It is not uncommon for periodic retesting to be a part of professional certifications, and for the time-being at least, this is also the case with the Korea Business Certification Program. I can assure you though that those who get certified during the first phase of the program development will receive significant benefits on future upgrades; you won't be disappointed (in fact, I guarantee it!)
I'll also point out that there's no reason your resume in 2014 can't list "Awarded Korean Business Professional Certification in 2011" even if you choose not to take the upgrade before that time. It's a valid resume builder for you indefinitely, not to mention the learning you gain for your own application in Korea.
