Dear fellow KBC members,

this is a rather boring IT question, but might be interesting for Asian business pro's nonetheless.

I don't know if you know Microsoft OneNote, or even about its OCR abilities.

But my problem is: I can't select Chinese / Hanja, only Korean. (See attached screenshot.)

I am not sure how to add an OCR language or if it is even possible.

It might help to add "Chinese" as an "Editing Language" / Proofing Tool, but then I don't even know which row to select in the dropdown (see screenshot) on this page.

Does anyone know more?

Happy friday!

Philipp,

Of the 3 highighted entries, the first is Japanese, the second is short-form Chinese used on the mainland, and the third is long-form/traditional Chinese used on Taiwan and some other places away from the mainland.

I have no idea how to work with OneNote, however.  GL
