1. In total, I've spent ~2 years in Korea over the past 10+ years (Yonsei, travel, etc.)
2. Finance
3. New York, NY

5. Long time lurker, recently getting more active.  Moving to Korea has been on the mind for a couple years now but is becoming more serious as the wife's family is running into health issues (they live in Korea).  I have a 10 years of experience, all finance/consulting related.  Previously worked in New York, but now located in Los Angeles.  I have an MBA and some other finance related certifications - Korean is pretty bad, though I understand more than I can speak (parents spoke to me in english).  Having read the forums for awhile now, I understand Korea's job opportunities are best obtained via networking...which is daunting and exciting at the same time.

Vince -Thanks for posting your introduction. Glad to hear you've moved from lurker to active member. I hope you find what you're looking forward in the Korean job market and that KBC can be benefit to you in that. Steven

5. Hello all, Im steadily growing an outdoor fitness company, with lots of ex-pats already signed up and re-shaping their bodies!  We have many differing members, including CEOs.

I am also using my 10 years corporate (HR) training experience, allied with 12 years in the fitness industry, to create CEO/Executive Wellbeing & Peak Performance programs.....so I wish to interact/get feedback from as many KBC members as possible to shape an excellent program which fulfills all of your wellbeing and performance requirements.
Helping you to create your best image, energetic body and sharp mind.

Wow, I had no idea there was something like this in Korea. That's really interesting! I hope the business goes well.

Do you do everything down there in Osan? Or do you have multiple training locations?

Hi Steven,

Thanks for the comments.  Super work you are doing here... for a considerable time.

My home office is in Osan, but all events are in Seoul presently:

- Bootcamps in Namsan Park - growing rapidly!

- Company Training I have carried out has been in Seoul mostly... and at present is a mixed bag of some fitness/energisers for companies such as Kim & Chang or business skills for others, including Atotech. Its useful for me, to 'learn the ropes' here and so to speak.

I've also had the pleasure of meeting Carl Kwan and we chat/plan to meet regularly.

So my focus will remain on wellbeing through the outdoor exercise events I already run, but I will use my corporate experience to put together peak performance workshops soon - probably starting off with seminars to espouse the benefits, try to attract customers/interest etc..

I very much hope to meet you in due course.

Good Wishes

Ian

5. Former Native Speaking English Teacher at a primary school under jurisdiction of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education.  After working for two years as an English teacher, I got a job as an English Coordinator at the Gyeongsangnamdo Office of Education where I support the supervisors in tasks related to the hiring and management of native-speaking English teachers (interviews, teaching contract, management, statistics, placement of teachers to schools).  A lot of my work deals with the English and Korean language.

I am Korean-American and interested in networking with foreigners and Koreans looking for volunteer and job opportunities in Korea or the United States.

Daniel - Thanks for the message; that's very interesting about your work for a Korean government office. You mention that you are looking to network with people wanting jobs in Korea and the US; does that means you can help job seekers find positions in Korea?

Hello Mr. Bammel,

I should have made it clearer.  I meant that I am always interested in finding job and volunteer opportunities.  Thank you.
