Why not move to Seoul / Korea and start searching for an internship 24/7 ?!
You know, I would LOVE to do that (and it's not the money for the flight that is lacking ;)), but I just don't have the time, as I have to push through my massive workload, while at the same time trying to catapult ;) myself into a business opportunity in Korea from afar!
For your question, as far as I understood, Mrs. Bonnici acquired "only" one internship in Korea - or are you asking for our intern/business experience in general?
Hi Sung,
Sorry for the late reply! Somehow I did not come across your post until now.
Well I guess there is no one magic formula (unfortunately). All I can say is be persistent and creative. Network through events and by getting in touch with people in your industry. Educate yourself, about what is going on in the industry too.
My internship was in the legal field.
Again, sorry for the late reply. Have you had any luck yet?
Marissa

Finally, my dream will come true, i will come to Seoul in January 2011, as an intern in a random Company which i dont know yet, i became a member of AIESEC, the group of exchange in 107 countries, so because it's a Dream for me and i have a Master Degree, i am the priority they said, everybody here helps me, thank you for everything you did for me, but what do you think will be my next step, can we meet, if you dont mind, so you can tell me how i can get a job after my internship.
Best Regards,
Adhoum Mehdi

Wow, no kidding! That was easy.... Congratulations!

wow, congrats! This sounds very promising to me, as I also got in touch with my local AIESEC group for the same reason. They have a network, which will in the end maybe will my saviour. ;) Concerning the "random company", by accident I found on the website of DHL (they are in Seoul + Incheon) that they have an agreement with AIESEC!
The funny thing is, DHL is the only company I already had some network connection to from one Korean conference. ... Actually DHL is great, so I will report back about the developments and my decision.
I'll drop you a message! Even though I'm just seeing you wrote this post already in December. ;-)
Which company did you "end up" at? (This sure will be interesting to others as well...)
Best regards,
Phil
Permalink Reply by Eun-Shil Park on January 25, 2011 at 8:02pm When I was asked by a co-member of KBC for an interview I thought: ok, lets do it quickly and move on with my daily business as usual........
I had within 2 days a good conversation over GoogleChat and very soon the interview was made available on the KBC website. Within a day(!) I was starting receiving many many positive reactions from all over the world. Not only through postings on the KBC website but also through direct emails. Very soon my business emailbox was overloaded!
I never ever had expected so much response from inside and outside the KBC Community. I received several openings for business proposals and was even being asked to provide specific (paid)information on certain topics/subjects according to businesses where I was already involved. The most amazing thing that happened included a certain opening in a business contact/company who refused me many times to accept me as a prospect to do some business together. Suddenly they sended me an email and later on phoned me to ask if it was possible to meet each other. How odd especially if you know that one of the reason I was always rejected was that they wanted only "serious business men" in the meetingroom.....huh?!
To make a long story short.....I enjoyed everything that happened recently and I can recommend other people to make also as much as effort to boost your career/business through KBC.
