"I was US Army but assigned to KMAG Korean Military Advisory Group. We went on Diplomatic passports, were not armed and officers worked with Korean 2nd Army as advisors. Us grunts did paperwork. Assisting us were the KATUSA Korean Augmentation To US Army as translators and co-grunts. On weekends we could go to motor pool and check out a jeep. I often asked a KATUSA to join me and we drove around. One weekend I remember we traveled over 100 miles but did not leave the city."

Permalink Reply by Eun-Shil Park on December 15, 2010 at 4:27am Well its my memories too Bill!!! thank you so much for sharing your pics!
I was born in 1970 in the area of Busan, Gimhae. I have seen so much details in your pics I just could only remember it in my thoughts about my past in Korea before I was adopted when I was almost 7 years old.
In my memories I do see the cherry trees, the stone fences around tradional houses covered with a sort of barbwire, the little children in the streets.....etc etc. too much to tell you.
I did show your pics to my ibyang-friends in the Netherlands who are all around the age of 40-45 years old. We were all crying....
Thx Bill for sharing the pics!
