A big thank you to Greg Sheen for doing this video.

Be sure to watch the other videos in this series here on KBC. Each video offers something unique.

I have spoken to Greg a couple of times. Its quite amazing how a down to earth mentality he shows to you. You forget  you speak to a VIP ;-)  I would love to hear from him in the nearby future more stories how he thinks to combine his new challenging job in Seoul with a good healthy private life. My personal ratio between work and private life has always been in a sort of unbalance. For me its most of the times just work, work and work again. I am wondering how others are managing this one. Especially if you live in a such a high demand working environment likewise in Korea instead of EU or USA.

I don't think the phrase "work-life balance" exists in the Korean vocabulary... It's really quite remarkable how different Korean and Western cultures are in this regard; I find myself working harder just be being in Korea.

I think the idea is slowly starting to creep into the social consciousness, even at the Chaebols of all places. For example, most of the major Chemical plants near Yeosu have declared one night a week a "family night" where all non-essential workers are actually required to finish work at 5pm and be off the premises by 5:30. Of course many use this as a night to have an early "team-building" dinner and drinks, but hey still something I suppose.
