I am just curious if a foreigner like me without any visa can open a restaurant in korea and getting automatically a visa based just on this goal.
For example, I read on the web a foreigner would need an F2 or F5 visa in oder to start his own business. Is that true? it works also to open a restaurant?
I would be pleased if someone who knows about this matter would clarify my thoughts.
yes, going there would be the best but im not in korea now.
I am really interested in starting a business in korea, I have a coupple of ideas, I would like to share the business with one or two korean partners, because of the language limits (eventough im studing it) and because I dont want to invest all 100 millions won, anyway i am not thinking about a restaurant but someting smaller.
I read a lot about visa D8 process but i still havent understood if i just have to transfer 100 million won from my italian bank account to my future korean account and investing/SPENDING as much as i want for my business in korea (for istance just 30 million and leaving the rest in that account or using that rest to pay the premisis rent along the year) or i have to invest/SPEND all those 100 millions before applying for the visa.
I bet someone in the "central" know this matter,I would be pleased if he can help me to understand.

I strongly advise you to contact the people at Invest Korea before you proceed because it seems that you are confused about the process. It is not as simple as transferring 100 million won and getting a visa. There are many steps (criteria) to be met before the visa can be issued. Fortunately, Invest Korea has simplified the process. You can do it all in one building (in theory).

Thanks Simon, I am going to get more informations in InvestKorea.
I know the process is much longer and more complicated than simply tranfering 100 million won, but before strongly considering this project I would need to know if the biggest (for me) barrier could be broken, which is investing and RISKING all that figure.
I am considering different ways to live and work in korea, so before choosing one way I have to get as much informations as I can from outside Korea, and this web community seems to be a really usefull beginning.
