Here is a link to the final text of the Korea-US FTA agreement: http://www.ustr.gov/trade-agreements/free-trade-agreements/korus-ft.... I was wanting to print it out, but besides being separated into over 60 downloadable PDFs, it's also over 1,000 pages!
Before I get on the phone and start asking around, I'm just curious if any KBC members know an easy way to get a printed copy of the agreement that won't require me sending 1,000 pages through my office printer.

WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--U.S. and South Korean officials plan to meet this week to continue working out the final text of the free-trade agreement, following last month's breakthrough on the long-stalled pact between the two countries.
Permalink Reply by Don Southerton on January 20, 2011 at 12:06pm I agree with Simon. The KORUS FTA has yet to be ratified by the US. That said, we feel the current amended version should be ratified soon.
So what specifcally still needs to occur...
The President may form and negotiate a treaty, but the treaty must be advised and consented to by a 2/3 vote in the Senate. Only after the Senate approves the treaty can the President ratify it.
So we still needs to be patient... BTW I've been following the FTA talks since 2006.
Permalink Reply by Guzmán Díaz on January 20, 2011 at 9:20am I have been looking around but seems like no one has printed copies of this document.
I wonder if there is a book "print on demand" place around Seoul that can make one copy of the document with covers, then you could merge all the PDF files in a single file and take it there. It won't be cheap, but you can get a bound copy (paperback or hardcover) of the agreement that way (well if it's 1000 pages it might be better to split it in +/- 3 volumes).
Maybe you could call or send an email to the USTR, they have their contact data at the website you provided.
Hopefully someone else has a better idea :)

WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--U.S. and South Korean officials plan to meet this week to continue working out the final text of the free-trade agreement, following last month's breakthrough on the long-stalled pact between the two countries.
Wendy Cutler, assistant U.S. trade representative, will meet Thursday and Friday with South Korean Deputy Trade Minister Choi Seok-young in Los Angeles, during the annual meeting of the U.S.-Korea Business Council.
It will be their second meeting since a deal was reached in early December to resolve outstanding issues on the U.S. side on a free-trade pact originally concluded in 2007. The biggest bilateral trade agreement the U.S. has negotiated since the North American Free Trade Agreement is expected to boost exports of goods to South Korea by as much as $11 billion, according to the independent U.S. International Trade Commission.
The planned amendments mostly involve provisions sought by the U.S. to improve access for auto exports, in return for some concessions on the phasing of tariffs on U.S. pork.
Once the text is completed, presidents from both countries will submit the deal to lawmakers for approval.
U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk said last week the administration hopes for the pact to be voted on by July 1, which is the date that a trade agreement signed between South Korea and the European Union goes into effect.

Permalink Reply by Don Southerton on January 22, 2011 at 10:52pm I figured you needed the current document. I've only seen US Trade versions. Must be a Korean version out there somewhere....

I finally got a copy of the Korean version of the FTA. I understand that the translation's being checked though for errors, so this won't be the final version.
Permalink Reply by Dom LaVigne on July 1, 2011 at 3:20am Final versions - once ratified by the US Senate and if Korea's policymakers need to agree on any amendments made by the US - would be posted on the USTR web site (www.ustr.gov) (as well as - I'm assuming) the Korean side.
Past US-[Country Name] FTAs were generally posted online and broken down with the appropriate chapters each being their own PDF file. This might be done partially as one single PDF file could be too large for many people to download in a single shot. I normally just download each chapter and then recombine all the PDF files using the full version of Adobe Acrobat, but if that is not feasible for many, they can just contact USTR when the entire thing is done.
I am not aware of the full text of FTA documents ever being sold in bookstores in the US.
