What We're About...

The Korea Economic Forum is designed as an English hub for all who have vested interests in the Korean Economy. The main product of the group is the Korea Economic Slice, which is a free weekly "white paper" broadly focused on the Korean economy as a whole, but focused on specific topics, securities, and markets in each report.

We would like for the forum to benefit its members through discussions and networking, but would also like to hear feedback as to where members hope this group will go and what we could do better.

Join this galvanizing new subgroup of KBC and get in the discussion!

I've been really baffled by the high yen over the years since it would seem to me that a country like Japan that's got a huge government debt and stagnant economy would be seeing its currency fall in…Continue

Hello all,

From a sunny Amsterdam! ....Last couple of weeks I thought it will never stop raining.

After our first contributor for New Economic Slice 2011 by Emanuel Pastreich we do have the next contributor Professor Stephen Ronto on the air! His talk is all about the "Progenitors of Chaebol" and for myself really interesting what happened BEFORE those companies became so huge and large in size.

Please visit our subpage and share with us your thoughts about this topic!

I hope you like it!

Your Administrator has done something which turned out an extremely painful experience....she did her first SoapBox on our frontpage. And she can tell you all she really hates it to be in front of a camera (yes ! I am the person who takes the pictures on parties in order to hide herself;-)

So dear members.....your turn now! Any Korea related topic is ok for the SoapBox....and it can never be that bad.....

Hello members of KBC Economic Forum!

I like to announce that KBC has since very recently a KBC SoapBox on our Frontpage. If you like to make your own short Video (max.2min) with a spoken personal story/view (about pretty much everything)...but it would be nice it is Korea-related ;-)
