If I want to change my visa status in future by taking a TOPIK exam then what are the main requirements & what are the proper way to learn Korean language quickly that help me to get a good score in TOPIK? If anyone know about this mater then please help me in details giving more information then I will be grateful to you.

I think the full name of this visa is F2-7. I got this visa in January 2011.

The visa is granted to those who can score more than 80 points according to the valuation table:

1. age (max 25)

2. education (max 35)

3. korean language (max 20)

4. current income (max 10)

5. working experience in Korea and abroad (max 20)

6. others (social integration program etc.) (max 10)

I can share the file with details. Please let me know your email.

Kind Regards,

Igor

Thank you Igor Kurilin for your quick response.

I will be grateful to you if you send me details info in my email : hafiz_stat_ru@yahoo.com

I got your email. Thanks for this. But in this email  I find this.....Following an enforcement ordinance of the Immigration law, annexed list 1. A person who stay in Korea legally as a specialist with Professor(E-1), Foreign language teaching(E-2), Research(E-3), Technological guidance(E-4), Profession (F-5), Specially designated activities(E-7) status.

Buy you know my visa status is E-9 . So what can I do for this ??

BTW, just an idea. If there is no way to move from E-9 to F2 why don't you move to E-7 (or any other eligible for F2 visa) first?

But I don't know the way to move other eligible for F2 or E-7 from E-9. can you help me by providing information?

Thanks.

This thread is one of the reason I'd be happy to see a (native) expert on Korean immigration issues here on KBC!... (@Steven Bammel)
Thanks, Philipp. Unfortunately, I'm not an expert on Korean immigration. Being married to a Korean, all my visa problems are solved like magic and so I know almost nothing. :-) I've tried to recruit a visa expert to our Experts Corner, but so far, no luck.

Dear Steven S. Bammel,

Thank you for your reply & I am happy that I am a member or KBC. Yes it will be very helpful if you recruit a visa expert to our expert corner of KBC because many foreigner face the visa or immigration problem. Though I am Bangladeshi & my language is Bangla but I can express my word in English here in the discussion board of KBC because in korean language it is very hard to communicate & korean people are not well in English. So if you recruit a visa expert to our expert corner of KBC then not only for me it will be helpful for every foreigner in South Korea. I wish you will do this as early as possible & we are waiting for your this type good initiative.

Thanks.

I do see here a whole new business...."how to marry a native korean and make all your visa-problems disappear in a split of a second" ;-))))

This is the so-called "Immigration Point System" (and no "visa" per se, as far as I remember) and was discussed on ESL-cafe, I saved myself a few entries. I just wonder, Mr. Kurilin, is there any reason to not attach the file here online for everyone?

Thanks in advance!

@Philipp The only reason not to attach the file was that file uploading is blocked in my office.

I guess it's better to check with the immigration office what is the procedure for E-9 visa holders. I had E-7 visa before applying for F2-7.

There are other requirements too. Just knowing Korean would not make you eligible for F2 Visa.

You can use this online tool to check if you are eligible for F2 Visa. Its an interactive tool.

This tool will just give you an idea about where you stand and what you need to do. For clarification you need to get in touch with the immigration office.
