Hi, I am finishing up my masters at KAIST and I need to interview some IP lawyers to complete my research. I am just wondering if there is anyone in this community that is an IP lawyer or who knows some IP information organisation in Korea that might be able to help me. Please share your advice if possible, because it is a critical part of my thesis, and I need to complete my thesis soon. Many Thanks,Mark WhitingMS - ID KAIST - …See More

Hi Mark--thanks for the background . . . I'll look around the faculty listings and see if there's anyone to reach out to. I don't have a definite plan right now--I have a trip to Brazil next month, and after that, I really have to decide what I want to do . . . I think a lot of folks in corporate and academia are interested in sustainability, but there are so many moving parts . . . and other fires to put out, so your description doesn't surprise me and seems spot on.

You've got a great background. Are you in Taejon or Seoul?

Hi Mark--I'm a California native, lived in Korea in the mid-1990s. I've been interested in going back again . . . had been doing online business research sales for several years, then got an MBA . . . worked at a consultancy until it had a meltdown last year . . . been trying to build a sustainability consulting practice but it's slow . . . I write about such issues at http://greengopost.com. I'm curious if KAIST has any kind of sustainability program . . . I'd love the opportunity to work in Korea again . . . way back when, from 1995-1998, I started out by doing the typical English teaching scheme, and then had a little computer training and networking consulting gig going till the IMF fiasco of 1997-8.

Enough about me . . . what about you???
