"I'll take 2-1 odds for the first one, 3-1 odds on the last one, and 20-1 odds on the middle one. I agree that most likely nothing will really change, except some bold claims of a 'new era' and some propaganda talk about "North…"

Youngil Ely Loew replied to Steven S. Bammel's discussion The KBC Community Soapbox - "Globalizing Korean Food: The Good and the Bad"
"This post is LOL. The problem with Jjajangmyeon (and I have had this conversation 100 times with Koreans) is that it is not 'Korean'. It's really funny, though, because Korea is the only country you can find it. I have never seen it…"

6-10 years
What is the nature of your involvement with Korea and/or Korean business? / 주로 어떤 직종의 비즈니스에 종사하였습니까?
I was a student in Korea from when I was 12 until I was 18. I graduated from a Korean public high school. I've been back to visit a couple times since then, but never for an extended stay...

1. 6 years (from 1995 - 2001)
2. Google Sales Rep (in Ireland HQ)
3. um... not an easy question. Maybe Arlington VA, since I spent my youth there, but I've been all over the place. I feel a strong emotional tie to 구리시, since I went to middle school there.
4. Always!
5. Hello, my full name is Youngil Ely Loew. I went to a religious boarding school in Korea when I was 12 years old. It was only a one year program, but I liked the experience so much I stayed on and ended up graduating high school from 건대부고 (Kun Kuk University's high school). I graduated from the University of Bridgeport in 2008 and then went to Macedonia for one year on a full bright grant. After that I moved to Ireland to be with my beautiful wife and last month I got a job at Google, which I think is an awesome company to be working for. I plan to visit Korea next year (if all goes well), and I hope to visit many more times in the coming years.
