Confucius once said that "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Anyone that has ever chased after a passion they desperately want to realize can testify to this iconic phrase, myself included. The one question that remains to be asked is "what is that first step?" My name is Mariama Kanu, I am a student at Salisbury University double majoring in International Business and Marketing, with a deep interest in all things creative and culturally stimulating. I am a dreamer to the core and my ultimate goal is to own a firm overseas. Sounds all planned out, I'm sure. I am quite aware that we will all follow different paths and that these paths differ with our intended industries. However, as a student so close to graduating (May 2013), I can't help but feel that daunting weight of what to do next; how to get from here, to there. I want to write this post in hopes of reaching out to fellow KBC members and getting an array of opinions as a new member. I hope you all will help me as I seek the answer to my questions.
