Hello Everyone, long time no see!
I've recently become the Korea representative for a new educational card game (ESL) and am tasked with finding a distributor for the Korean market. The company is based out of Japan but is owned and operated by New Zealanders.
They have their own distributor for Japan but he's asked me to open the door to Korea. I also have the rights to sell here so I've set up an interim website to help get the word out and have the game available on an individual basis. The game is called 'AGO', pronounced 'Ay-Go'. (http://www.agokorea.com)
The site will most likely be taken over by a distributor later on. The issue is finding one with a decent offer. I've only been able to approach one so far, but they are more of a regular games distributor rather than an educational games one. Plus they're only offering a small percentage, and calling it 'royalties'. The game has already been published in Japan and is selling very well...over 10K units in a year and a half. How can they offer only 'royalties' on a product that's been published already?
Anyway, if anyone knows of a distributor with English speaking reps, I'd be quite happy to hear.
Thank you in advance.
